It's Bigger than Hip-Hop

In an information age how ironic, the music has gotten less informative. 

It is intentional how we avoid the connection between minorities being shot down in the streets and the violence in the music... Chicken or the egg right? Either these degenerates (on both sides) are being spawn by the culture or we are creating this environment out of ignorance. The reality no one really wants to deal with is white cops can no longer properly police minorities in this age. Barring those living under a rock, it is impossible to escape the never-ending propaganda campaign to demonize minorities that being said how else can they see us besides savages. In addition, sadly we supply the soundtrack to our own genocide. 

Music's reach is undeniable. From commoners to presidents to royalty, white black and everything in between everyone loves the hip-hop culture. Question is with such a powerful voice that touches the masses why is the underbelly of our culture the only music being promoted? Furthermore, why is hip-hop the only genre that allows this? Every genre of music has a sub culture of music interest that range anywhere from devil worship to rape and pillaging the world but those songs never get any promotion. Instead, they promote songs about human rights, empowerment and love. 

Maybe it is a conspiracy or maybe it is the after effect of slavery and undiagnosed mental illness that makes us use our greatest weapon of influence to degrade our culture and devastate our progress. Imagine instead of violence, drugs and promiscuity hip hop promoted group economics, self-esteem and upward mobility we could make smart (S.U.A.V.E.) the new cool instead of an "acting white" thing #theworldneedssuave. 

Ultimately, hip-hop is one thing that could actually change the culture. Of course that would mean artist as well as listener would have to take responsibility and that being said maybe it is all just wishful thinking... Either way I believe we have come to the crossroads

Who's to Blame

Too often we hear the same old arguments that have been recycled for decades now. The black man isn't pulling his weight. The black man is no good. The black man needs to pull himself up by his bootstraps. The destruction of the black community is due to the absence of the black man. The black woman is queen and can do no wrong. This video provides a honest alternative to the narrative. Certainly an unpopular stance nonetheless one that needs recognition.

Bragging About the Standard

Stop bragging about what should be standard. As an adult if you find yourself bragging about having a home or a car its past due time to raise your bar. These are standard necessities and things that as an adult you should have. Having a place to sleep and a way to get to work to pay for the place you sleep is currently how the system is setup. Boasting that you have achieved normalcy is a reflection of low self-esteem. The need to brag in and of itself is rooted in weakness and a childlike need for attention. It also feeds this 'me against you, look what I have and you don't' attitude that keeps us divided. We should also add to the list of non-braggable items buying clothes for your kids or spending any money/time on your kids. You are a parent and responsible for the life of that child. The only time this should be news to anyone is when you are not doing it. While I can certainly appreciate the fact that 'the struggle is real' and how our opponents have a 500 year head start and that we live in a system of white supremacy and blah blah blah  that has nothing to do with the bar we set for ourselves personally.

We need a culture change, one where cars and jewelry (material wealth of no value) aren't celebrated but ownership and economic empowerment are the standard (trillion plus annual spending power). In the system of white supremacy where is the worth in being divided? Where is the value in a 'look at me' separatist mentality (Bill Cosby found out the hard way)? Before we can change the culture the culture has to understand that it needs to be changed. We all feel it even if we cannot understand it. A person getting shot by the cops invokes an energy that something needs to change however, if we can't raise our personal bar and we are already divided it becomes impossible to get on code long enough to create change for the collective. Attention whoring reflects low morality and attention whoring over normalcy screams crisis. Change the culture and raise the standard.

March Whine Repeat

For the latest round of march whine repeat, look no further than Minneapolis for another police shooting of a black. As I am sure we have all heard the stat that a black dies every 28 hours at the hands of law enforcement I am astounded at the whole idea of march whine repeat, meaning cop shoots black, blacks take to the street to march/riot, nothing happens then we wait for the next shooting that gets sensationalized to repeat the process. If the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result then black people are insane. Black people should have stopped marching immediately after Martin Luther King Jr was hit in the head by a brick as that was proof positive of what they felt about blacks marching. Decades, white flight, and run down neighborhoods later we still haven't learned. For me marching conjures up images of the powers that be sitting up in some high rise smoking cigars laughing uncontrollably at the idea that these niggas still marching thinking that's going to change something and the sad truth is in an information age it is kind of funny. Al Sharpton staged a march/rally at a government building on a Saturday when no one was there. "Shake it off. Stop complaining, stop grumbling, stop crying" is a direct quote from Obama... Trust me, they are somewhere laughing at us for marching. There are several very effective solutions that can be taken to change things overnight from financial terrorism, to throwing a "brown paper bag" at a politician to our own economic empowerment but first things first. ITS TIME TO QUIT MARCHING. The only thing a bully respects is equal and oppositional aggression. Marching and crying only implies weakness. Never in the history of bullying has the aggressor stopped being a bully on account of a fear tears. If he had that kind of compassion he wouldn't be a bully in the first place.

Markings of a Slave

I saw this video yesterday and the celebration among black people was somewhat ridiculous, especially from black men. Then I thought about how normal this behavior is. Until this day, we still still brag and swap stories about who had the worse ass whooping story as if that's some badge of honor. What we fail to realize is that we contracted this behavior from our slave master, and more specifically from Mamie who would beat her sons as close to death as possible to appease master who would likely have had the slave beaten to death. In those times a beating was to save a life or used as an alternative to overly cruel punishment from owners. That was out of love and concern for the safety of the child. That being said a good question is when the lynching's and ownership stopped why didn't the beatings? The answer is we are still operating on a slave paradigm. The evolution of being under the thumb of white supremacy is a broken spirit, illogical behavior, self-hatred, and loss of self-discipline. This is apparent in the fact that he didn't have enough self control to stop and proceeded to hit his child close to 100 times.

Truth is this a man boy defeated by life and has no other place to take out his anger and aggression but on a defenseless child. In a system of white supremacy the black man is often castrated economically, spiritually (white Jesus), socially (cooning), and mentally. Outside of sports there is no other way to display our dominance or at the very least our manhood. The lack of an outlet often means we turn towards our own to release that energy as evidenced in this video.

If he were around giving her some real fatherly game she would have no interest in posting the pics online in the first place... Children do things for attention. An emotionally starved child will naturally seek attention wherever they can get it. That child found value in the attention she got from posting pics online. A beating does no change the desire for attention; It simply creates a fear of being caught. Teach a child to find the value in love and self-respect. These kinds of lessons take time and attention. When that child's emotional needs are met those lessons become intrinsic and the behavior will naturally change.

Paris

Blacks changing their profile pics for the Paris attacks remind me of the ALS ice bucket challenge. Negroes were pouring water on their heads to bring awareness to a disease that does not really affect them. 93% affected are Caucasian. Truth is we have a history of sticking up for everyone else's issues but ours. What is worse is we have a history of sticking up for people who hate us. France until this day still forces Africa to pay colonial taxes for their freedom. Never mind the fact that most black people couldn't point to Paris on a map nor do they know the history between France and their ancestors the root is the slave energy that we still have in us. Slavery taught us that we are not human and therefore our issues were of no concern. We have spent centuries catering to the needs of others and in turn lost concern for our own. Cops are shooting us in the street, brutalizing our women, creating new laws to raise incarceration rates, denying us access to housing, denying us business loans, miseducation of our children etc. etc. etc... Black people did not even care enough to start our own movement #blacklivesmatter. Our community is on the decline not because we do not have the money (trillion dollar annual spending power), or the resources with African land being the richest in natural resources in the world (too soon to talk about nationalism though I get it), or the access (black president, information age). All excuses are lame now.

I often hear the older generation say there is a time and a place for everything. Well now is neither the time nor the place to be trumpeting sympathy for others when our race is in rapid decline. In addition, for Paris I'm not sure that time would be ever just as I am sure Jews would never come to the defense of Nazis. Let's fix our shit first. When we are good I'd be happy to bandwagon any other issue that needs to be addressed.
